IntruGuard Patent Covers Key Technologies That Are Core Elements of an Effective DDoS Mitigation Solution

IntruGuard announced that the USPTO has issued IntruGuard a patent for "METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RATE BASED DENIAL OF SERVICE ATTACK DETECTION AND PREVENTION".

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Septemeber 29, 2008 – IntruGuard, The leading DDoS mitigation solution provider, announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office (PTO) has issued U.S. patent No. 7,426,634 to IntruGuard Devices, Inc. for a "METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RATE BASED DENIAL OF SERVICE ATTACK DETECTION AND PREVENTION". This patent granted by the U.S. PTO covers technologies that are key elements of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack mitigation.

-- Zombie flood detection and prevention mechanism,
-- Means for limiting connections
